Laurel started cooking at home with her parents at 10 years old and always correlated food and hospitality to love and warmth. She always knew she wanted to be a chef so after high school, she attended the Culinary Institute of America where she earned her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and her Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She spent a semester-long internship at ABC Kitchen where she first met Chef Dan and Chef Seth. Upon graduating from The CIA in 2016, she started working at Loring Place as soon as she could. She worked her way through the line for almost three years before briefly leaving to work at Zahav in Philadelphia and then returning to Loring Place as Sous Chef.
